Mad Scientist Birthday!

Yesterday was Nathan's 5th birthday party! We found a company that sends someone out and they do science experiments for the kids. The kids loved it. Even some of the parents learned new things! Professor Z did several experiments, one with dry ice, one with a Styrofoam cup and acetone, one with packing peanuts and at the end all the kids made slim. I had a friend make a volcano cake for the party and it turned out wonderful. At Nate's request, we also had a pinata in the shape of a sun. Always a big hit with the kids. He received many wonderful gifts and a fair amount of money! All in all, the party was a great success. Here are some pics.

  1. Hi Vanessa - It looks like you had a fun party for your son! I had a mad scientist birthday party for my daughter last fall. We didn't have anyone come out but we found a lot of cool supplies and experiments to do ourselves during the party from the science guy, Steve Spangler's website. If you plan on doing anything again in the future or just want to do some cool science stuff at home, I found Steve Spangler Science has a lot of ideas. My kids are always asking to do more science. http://www.stevespanglerscience.com/
