Turning 5....WOW!!!

Nathan will be turning 5 in exactly one week!! It is amazing how the past 5 years has gone by so fast. Nathan has grown into a wonderful 5 year old. He is so smart and funny. He loves science and the solar system. We are having a Mad Scientist birthday party for him this year. He is always asking how things work or why things are the way they are. He is very curious. He loves to tell stories and hear made up stories. He has the place called, "funny world" it is invisible of course. In funny world everything is backwards. For example, they don't cry in funny world, they laugh instead!! He is always making up games to play. In fact,I don't think we have played CandyLand the actual way you are suppose to play in in a long time.

He loves playing bad guys and still likes superheros. He is doing great in school and will start kindergarten next year. I would love to give you an update on how well he is actually doing in school but anytime I ask him what they did in school his reply is, "I can't tell you, it's a secret!" So, I guess I will have to wait till the next conference with his teacher!

Nathan is caring, loving and he will do anything to make you laugh. We always have to be on our toes with answers to questions because he asks alot of them. Nothing gets by him and he remembers EVERYTHING!!! He is a great big brother and is always helping Ian learn and he can make Ian laugh a really good belly laugh!!

Most days Nate and I get along great and we have alot of fun. There are days we are butting heads but I think that is because we are alot alike in alot of ways. I love him with my whole heart and I would not trade the past five years for anything. I cannot wait to see what kind of 10 year old he will be. I am sure he will be just like his dad was because they are on in the same right now.

I love my boys.

He loves his big brother.....

For the past couple nights at dinner time, Ian will not eat if Mike or I are the ones feeding him with a spoon. But, he will eat if Nate does it!!! Who would have thought that this would be the case. It is rather cute and makes me smile to see Nate helping his little brother. It is times like this that I feel so blessed to have my boys. I truly hope that as they grow there will be more times that they are there for each other.

Love to you all.
